The Lady Kougars traveled to South Central early this morning for their holiday tournament. The Kougars kept their win streak going by surpassing River Forest in the first round 71-25. The Lady Kougars got a little time in between games and got some good time together as a team with sandwiches for lunch and card games. The Kougars took on Hanover Central for championship game, this is the second meeting with Hanover this year. The Kougars were challenged to pick up their defense of intensity and they did just that. The first quarter was 17-10 but after that it was all the Kougars. The girls held Hanover to just 2 points in the second quarter. The second half continued in Kougars favor and the girls held them to just 6 points in the third quarter and 0 in the 4th with the final score being 61-18. The Lady Kougars extend their win streak to 8. Record is now 11-3. The JV team also won both games and are tourney champs! Scoring in the 1st round was led by Camry Krueger 26, Mallorie Rose 11, Jenna Walker 10, Olivia Adams 8, Annie Lindberg 6, Reese Van Meter 4, Leah Hanselman 3, Mckinley Dresbaugh 3. For the Championship game scoring was led again by Camry Krueger 22, Olivia Adams, 14, Jenna Walker 11, Mallorie Rose 6, Laurel Van Meter 4, Reese Van Meter 2, Elyce Gillette 2.
