Tonight in the Kougar Den the Lady Kougars held their annual pink night. Pink night is a night that we honor and remember loved ones that have lost their life to or are currently battling and beaten cancer. To start the night off North Judson players and KV players both handed out flowers to those people who were in attendance. Lots of emotions were running through the gym. The Kougars took those emotions right into the first quarter and once again started with heavy defense of pressure. North Judson was a little rattled at first, but bounced back ending the first quarter 15-14. 2nd quarter the game become even more scrappy, each possession really started to matter and Jenna Walker hit a huge half court heave to end the half up 24-19. The Kougars made some adjustments and North Judson went to a 3-2 zone to try and slow the Kougars down. The girls held them to just 4 points in the 3rd. The 4th quarter started and North Judson looked like they were going to make a run and cut it to 7. But the ladies weathered the storm and dug deep mentally and physically to get the win. 43-32. The Kougars are on a 9 game win streak and go on a 4 game road stretch in the coming weeks. Leading the scoring was Olivia Adams 13, Mallorie Rose 8, Camry Krueger, Maci Capps 6, Jenna Walker 6, Reese Van Meter 2, Annie Lindberg 1. Record is now 12-3 4-0. The JV took a huge step in the right direction tonight and really looked good defensively and offensively. Ultimately winning 54-28. Leading the way in scoring was Tinley Van Meter 13, Brooklyn Whitt 13, Maci Schoon 12, Rylie Jones 8, Leah Hanselman 4, Mckinley Dresbaugh 4.
