The Lady Kougars traveled to Portage tonight for the final regular season game. The Ladies were in a dog fight all night being down in the 1st quarter, battling back to make it a tied game at half. The second half was more of the same with it being extremely physical and low scoring. Back and forth the game went until about 4 minutes to go in the 4th. The Lady Kougars decided they were not losing this game and stepped up and got huge defensive stops and Mallorie Rose hit a huge 3. The Kougars executed and took care of the ball in the end to walk out of there with a victory 36-30. Leading in scoring was Olivia Adams 12, Mallorie Rose 9, Camry Krueger 9, Jenna Walker 3, Annie Lindberg 2, Reese Van Meter 1. The Lady Kougars finish the regular season 18-4, and 6-0 in conference. The JV Lady Kougars ended their season with a victory as well! They took a huge lead to start the game 18-3 behind Mckinley Dresbaugh 9 points in the first quarter. From there they never looked back and finished with a score 46-19! Leading in scoring tonight for the JV was Mckinley Dresbaugh 11, Maci Schoon 11, Brooklyn Whitt 7, Tinley Van Meter 7, Rylee Jones 6, Leah Hanselman 2, Laney Walstra 2. This game wraps up the JV season in which they finished with a 15-6 record. Huge improvement from all players and cannot wait to see these players continue to grow!
