KV-Jenna Walker, blistering 2:27.0 lead off leg; Reese Van Meter, Gabbi Diener, Krista Sytsma: 10:37.2; 100 hurdles: 1. Cheyenne Flatt-KV- very fast PR for the senior of 17.4; 2. Sophie Singleton-17.6, excellent PR for the freshman,. 100: 1. Elyce Gillette-KV-excellent near PR time 12.8; 2. Avery Myers-13.1, pushed Gillette the whole way; (PR's for Taitym Nevills at 13.6, and Avery Diener at 13.8, which allows for the conversion from handheld times for sprints and hurdles.) 1600: 1. Sytsma-KV-5:13.3; 2. Walker-5:19.0; 3. Faith Terborg-5:48.7; Sytsma and Walker continue their sensational careers, two stellar opening times here, and in her first varsity track meet, Terborg was awesome! 4x100: 1. KV- Myers, Singleton, Gabbi Diener, Gillette-52.8; 400: 1. G. Diener-KV-63.9, a dominant strong 400 for the versatile senior. 300 hurdles: 1. Singleton-KV-53.5, the first ever hurdle races of her career, she closed in a hurry to win this event ; 3. Flatt-55.3. 800: 1. Walker-KV-2:30.0; 2. R. Van Meter-2:48.1; 3. Maddi Gray-2:52.8; these three SWEEP the 800 with strong runs. 200: 1. Gillette-KV-27.0; 2. Myers-27.8; 3. Avery Diener-28.8; another SWEEP with PR's for Gillette and A. Diener; Nevills also had another PR of 29.5. 3200: 1. Sytsma-KV-11:01.7, a sensational first outdoor 3200 for Sytsma; 2. Terborg-13:00.2; 3. Haylie Bristol-13:24.5; Terborg and Bristol also ran both the 1600 and 3200, and crushed it, to SWEEP this event, as did Ainsley Summers who ran a PR here by 20 seconds at 13:27.2. 4x400 relay: 1. KV: Walker, smoking fast split of 63.0+, R. Van Meter, G. Diener, two excellent split legs by RVM and Gab; Gillette, smooth anchor leg of 62.0-4:27.9. High jump: 1. Alyssa Groen-KV-4-10, a gigantic PR with excellent technique for the rookie; 2. Brooklyn Whitt- another freshman, ties her PR at 4-8; 3. Addi Koselke-4-6 on her birthday for the SWEEP in high jump. Pole Vault: 2. Jaslyne Robledo-8-0, good early season jump for the senior. Discus: 1. Liv Adams-KV- terrific throw of 87-0; 2. Jackie Vander Woude-outstanding PR of 85-10; 3. Tinley Van Meter-in her first varsity meet a gigantic PR of 85-3; SWEEP of discus by these three, all over 85' is tremendous work by Coach Rachel Mathley's crew in a strong field of throwers. Shot put: 1. Adams-KV- huge bomb of 33-3; 2. Vander Woude-another sensational PR of 32-5 for JVW; 3. T. Van Meter-very impressive PR of 31-2.5, for another SWEEP and 18 huge total points scored for their team, THREE over 30 feet at the first meet one is phenomenal! Long jump: 1. Singleton-KV-16-1.75, another win for Soph; 2. Flatt-14-7.25, and excellent meet for Chey! GREAT meet, ladies, GO KOUGS!! Kudos also to RCHS for running such an organized meet.
