Varsity vs Munster (1 - 4) Loss The Kankakee Valley Lady Kougars finally got their matchup against Munster on the courts after an earlier attempt was washed out by rain, and the wait proved worthwhile for a night filled with competitive energy and gritty performances. Doubles play highlighted much of the evening, featuring several intense battles that kept momentum shifting throughout the match. Points were hard-earned, with long rallies and strategic net play defining the contests. Unfortunately, adversity struck the Kougars as two doubles teams were forced to default due to injury, cutting short Despite the setbacks, the defining moment of the night came at No. 3 singles, where Maggie Norwine delivered an outstanding performance. In a long, grueling match that turned into a true test of endurance and determination, Norwine showcased her resilience. Each point felt like a battle of will—extended rallies, patient shot selection, and relentless effort from both players. Ultimately, it came down to who could outlast the other, and Norwine rose to the occasion, proving she had both the heart and the stamina to finish strong. The Lady Kougars now quickly turn their attention forward, as they hit the road to face Valparaiso tomorrow afternoon, looking to carry that same toughness and competitive spirit into their next matchup. - Head Coach Darian DeVries
