KV Girls Soccer traveled up North on Saturday for a match against Portage. Early morning games call for slow starts, but the Kougars perked up after leading 2-0 at halftime. In the 2nd they would pick up 7 more goals to end the game with a score of 9-0. Junior midfielder, Juliet Skowronski, was on fire and tallied 5 goals. Junior, Camry Krueger, had a hat trick with 3, and Freshman center back, Jayden Hinsey, scored the first goal of her high school career with a crisp knock from a perfectly executed cross and assist from Izzie Ritchie. The Lady Kougars travel to Highland on Thursday where they look to pick up their second conference win of the season.
