The Valley Girls Soccer team traveled to Highland last night for their second NCC match of the season. In the first half, the Trojans came out ready to play and were testing the Kougar defense. An early penalty in the box led to a PK for the Trojans that barely snuck by Senior goalkeeper, Rigley Pszonka. Many shots were had by Valley attackers, but they just could not connect. After a half of play, Highland would lead 1-0. The second half tells a completely different tale. The Lady Kougars regained their composure and locked in, scoring shortly after the starting whistle, and couldn't stop. They would score 5 goals in the second half alone, securing their victory. They pressed until the sound of the final whistle. Junior, Juliet Skowronski scored 4 goals, giving her a total of 10 goals scored in only 3 games. Senior forward, Camryn Przybylski also knocked one in. The Kougars are now 3-0 and 2-0 in conference play. They travel to Lafayette Jefferson to face the Bronchos tomorrow morning. Kankakee Valley's Junior Varsity squad also earned their first win of the season by shutting Highland out by a score of 2-0. Both goals were tallied by freshman midfielder, Cambria Lewis. Sophomore keeper, Tinley Van Meter had a clean sheet.
