The Lady Kougars traveled to Lowell last evening for a much anticipated NCC Conference match against the Red Devils. KV came out swinging and ready to play and dominated right out of the gate. They out shot the Devils 32-4. In the first half, it was only a matter of time before the Kougars would connect with the net. Senior, Rheyna Smith, dropped a dime to Camry Krueger, whose goal would set the tone right before halftime. Shortly into the second half, Lowell would have an own goal, and 3 minutes after that, Samantha Urban would knock in a 3rd. With 30 seconds left in the contest, Juliet Skowronski would send one in just under the crossbar for good measure. KV defense led by freshman Jayden Hinsey, along with seniors Avery Myers and Kyleigh Reed, were unbeatable. Senior goalkeeper, Rigley Pszonka walked away with 4 saves and her 5th clean sheet. The game ended with a final score of 4-0. The girls current record now stands at 6-0-1 and they are 3-0 in conference play. They travel to Boone Grove tomorrow to face off against the Wolves. KV's Junior Varsity squad also secured the W beating Lowell 1-0. KV offense pressed the entire game and eventually Izzie Ritchie sent a beauty into the back of the net in the second half. The Valley's quick D-line and sophomore goalkeeper, Tinley Van Meter, worked hard to maintain a conference shut out and their 2nd conference win. Congratulations KV Girls Soccer on your amazing night!
