The KV varsity boys soccer team hung tough with conference foe Hanover Central on Wednesday night but ultimately could not keep pace and dropped a 3-0 decision to the visiting Wildcats. In the second half, the Kougars saw more trips into the Wildcat defensive third, but unfortunately could not cut into the two goal deficit. With 20 minutes left, the Wildcats would add one more goal off an individual effort that beat multiple KV defenders. The score remained the same for the duration of the game. "I thought my team fought hard tonight," said head KV coach Jovan Jeftich. "Not having won a match in awhile has been tough, but our players are still giving their best at practices and in games. On a positive note, we were able to get some injured players back tonight, which is very beneficial for our team. Hopefully we can stay healthy moving forward in the upcoming weeks." Tonight's game also featured many youth players from the local River Valley Soccer Association. They were honored before the game at at halftime.
